The Vision. . .
In May of 2008, the doors to BC Supply were opened. "This was the realization of a dream of mine." stated Collin Corrigan, Founder of BC Supply. After many of years of traveling Southern California and Baja California, Mexico as a dealer representative for a local distributor, Corrigan realized that there was a large void in products and services available to this growing segment of the Textile Screenprinting Industry.
"I saw how this area was growing with more and more American companies moving their operations to Mexico and their struggle to maintain the technical support and supplies that they enjoyed in the States. I knew it could be done better and I was determined to make it happen." stated Corrigan.
So, with a vision and a plan; BC Supply was born. Opened first were the offices in San Diego, California and Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. BC Supply was able to stock inventory in both locations enabling them to provide same day delivery of many of the supplies the printers needed. In addition to the prime locations, is BC Supply's expert staff. Employing both American & Mexican Nationals on both sides of the border, BC Supply was able to bridge the language and cultural gap that have existed with previous suppliers then, and still today. This approach better enabled BC Supply to service their customer base.
After a very successful first year, BC Supply expanded their operation in March 2009 with a sub-distributor in Mexicali, Baja California. This expansion proved to be successful and again validated Corrigan's vision of providing customers with what they need: supplies and service. Building upon earlier successes, BC Supply was now positioned to expand further and in August 2010, BC Supply opened their Ensenada warehouse. This new location moves BC Supply into the next phase of their plan. Not only will this location service the supply needs of their Mexico and U.S. based customers, it will also serve as a Technical Training Center. Customers will now be able to visit this location and get hands- on training on the equipment and supplies that BC Supply offers. In addition, this new Ensenada location will also provide a platform upon which the manufacturer's representatives from the U.S. can directly interact with BC Supply's customers.
Corrigan's vision is coming alive and the first two years have been very successful not only for BC Supply, but for their customers as well. BC Supply is currently servicing customers in Baja California, Mexico; San Diego, California; and other various regions of interior Mexico. However, the vision doesn't end there. Plans are in the works to further expand the products and services offered by BC Supply. The BC Supply staff will continue to grow with the addition of some of the industry's most knowledgeable and well respected experts. BC Supply's service area will also expand. With so many of their customer's operations based in Orange County and Los Angeles County, BC Supply plans to open a facility in those areas before the end of 2010, continuing to bridge the gap between companies' American and Mexican operations.
